Adekunbi R. King (Attorney Addie)
Attorney Addie is a dual-licensed attorney and counselor-at-law in New York, United States, and Nigeria. She currently practices immigration law and provides end-to-end immigration services to clients throughout the United States.
As the founding attorney of the Law Firm of Adekunbi R. King (Iconic Immigration Law), her primary goal is to help clients navigate various immigration pathways to the United States in pursuit of their American dream. Additionally, as a dual-licensed attorney, she offers cross-border immigration advisory services to Nigerian clients overseas.
Attorney Addie is a graduate of Adekunle Ajasin University, Nigeria, where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. She also earned her first Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and her second Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, with distinction, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, United States. She was also an associate at the Human Rights Centre, University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, for few months, where she conducted research and participated in the Summer School Conference.
Attorney Addie founded Adekunbi Advocacy for Children and Women’s Rights Foundation (ACCWORF), a platform established to educate children and women about their rights and provide a forum for dialogue on how children can receive a well-rounded education and be empowered to thrive in every facet of life.
Before coming to the United States, Attorney Addie worked as a law lecturer at a prestigious university in Nigeria, where she taught Family Law, Contract Law, Legal Writing and Drafting, and Business Law. She is currently registered with Indiana Supreme Court as a Domestic Relations Mediator. Prior to her admission to practice law in the United States, she worked at a highly regarded immigration law firm, where she gained hands-on experience handling immigration cases. She is a member of the New York State Bar and the New York County Lawyers Association.
Outside of her legal practice, Attorney Addie spends time with her wonderful husband, and they are blessed with children.
